Orders

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit card payments on our website. We can do EFT payments, but those are only available if you order through email.

What is your return policy?

Because of the custom nature of our products, we’re unable to accept returns once an order has been processed or shipped. We also cannot issue refunds for orders that have already been shipped or canceled after processing.

If you notice any defects, damages, or missing items, please let us know in writing within five (5) business days of receiving your order. This helps us address any issues quickly. Claims made after this period will be considered full acceptance of your order and confirmation that it meets the agreed-upon specifications.

We’re happy to replace any orders that were processed incorrectly. Replacement items will be sent once we receive the returned merchandise. Please note that we cannot replace orders if we determine the products were misused, mishandled, or partially used before being returned.

Can I change or cancel my order?

You may change or cancel your order before approving the proof. Once your order is in production or has been completed, we are unable to accept changes or cancellations.

We offer a diverse range of products, from classic business cards to large-format solutions like banners. Explore our full catalog through the top menu to find exactly what you need.

What options are available for product design?

There are two options for designing and customizing a product.

1. Upload Design – Submit your own artwork in formats like JPG, PNG, PDF, AI, PSD, and more.

2. Custom Design – Work with our in-house designers. (Please note: We only do simple designs.)

What is paper stock and card stock?

The type of paper used for difference purposes is expressed in weight. In the countries following the European system, it is grammes per square metre (gsm or g/m2 or simply g) and in the US system it is Pound (lb).

The paper used for writing/printing (letterheads and such stationery) is generally between 60 to 120 gsm (20 to 70 lb) and is called the paper or text stock. Anything heavier than this is considered the card stock, i.e. the paper used for business cards, postcards, greeting cards, etc.

What’s the difference between glossy and matte finishes?

Coated papers come in two distinct finishes: Glossy and Matte.

  • Glossy: Smooth and shiny, glossy paper reflects light evenly, making it perfect for a wide range of printing projects. Its excellent ink holdout ensures crisp, vibrant images that make colors truly pop.
  • Matte: Flat and non-reflective, matte paper offers a sophisticated, modern look. It’s ideal for designs that benefit from subtlety and elegance without glare.

Folding and Cracking

Whenever paper is folded, there is the possibility of cracking at the fold. Cracking can be even more prominent on UV coated products, especially on darker coverage printing. Please note that the grain direction of the job cannot be guaranteed either.

To reduce cracking, it is highly recommended that you order the job with scoring when possible.

Printing

What printing method do we use?

Digital printing is a method of transferring images directly from a digital file to a variety of media, such as paper, fabric, or plastic, without using traditional printing plates. This process uses technologies like inkjet or laser to create high-quality, customized outputs and is ideal for short runs and on-demand orders.

What color formats are supported?

CMYK is preferred for digital printing. (Our printer are digital printers.)

CMYK—Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (Black)—is the standard subtractive color model used in print. Unlike RGB, which creates color by adding light, CMYK inks absorb light from the paper to produce accurate, vibrant colors. Using CMYK is essential for design projects like flyers, business cards, and brochures to ensure your colors appear exactly as intended on physical materials.

Important: Please avoid using PMS (Pantone) colors in your files. Incorporating PMS colors may cause unexpected color shifts or other printing issues.

File Format

For most of our products, we require a high-resolution PDF file with bleed.

The exceptions are our apparel products and our promotional products. For these items, we have an online design interface that allows you upload only JPEG or PNG files.

For variable products (e.g. numbered tickets) we require an Excel file and a dummy version of the artwork to show placement.

What is the resolution of output file?

Your PDF files should be at 300 DPI(dots per inch), which is the industry standard for high-quality printing.

Difficulty Uploading File

If you are having trouble uploading your file onto our website, there could be a number of reasons.

  1. The file is the wrong format.
  2. The file is too big.
  3. The number of pages does not match your order specifications. For example, if you placed a 4/0 order then you won’t be able to upload a 2-page PDF file.
  4. The file is corrupt. In this case, you would need to re-export your file from your design program.
  5. There is a server issue. If none of the above issues apply, then we could be experiencing server issues. Please contact us to report the problem.

Set Up Guides and Templates

To ensure that you receive a more optimal print, please make sure you always follow the set up guides provided for each product.

By following these guides, your artwork will be designed to improve the quality of your job. When designing your artwork, if you use our guides as a layer, please ensure that you delete it before you save the final artwork.

You can find all of our guides by clicking here.

If you are even unsure if you've setup your artwork according to the guides, we recommend you contact us to request a file review BEFORE uploading and ordering. That way you can be sure the job will proceed without any file rejection issues. Completed job issues that resulted from not following our guides will not be reprinted.

No Template Available?

Please note that we may not have templates in the exact size that you require. However, here is what you can do:

1. You are welcome to contact us if you do not see the template in our list, and although we cannot guarantee we can provide the exact template, we will see what we can do for you.

2. You can review the templates for the same product in a different size. This will provide some insight as to the amount of bleed and safety area needed.

3. You can email info@print-zilla.ca with files for to pre-check before submitting an online order.
